  • Individuals age 50 or older:
    $8,600 (includes a catch-up contribution of $1,100, up from $1,000 in 2025)

These limits apply to the combined total of all your traditional and Roth IRA contributions for the year.

Income Phaseout Ranges for 2026

  • Single / Head of Household:
    • Full contribution if MAGI < $153,000
    • Phaseout range: $153,000 – $168,000
    • No contribution if MAGI ≥ $168,000
  • Married Filing Jointly:
    • Full contribution if MAGI < $242,000
    • Phaseout range: $242,000 – $252,000
    • No contribution if MAGI ≥ $252,000
